    Purchased this after I already had a cold sore that started to tingle so I wanted to be ready for the next one. Received it so quickly and started to treat the cold sore that broke out already and it actually never blistered and dried up after use. At the same time, another cold sore was starting to tingle so I started treating it right away and it never developed into a cold sore. I'm so glad that I finally found something that works!

    Doesn't work. Plain and simple. A complete rip off. Save your $100 and buy yourself a nice pair of shoes or something.

    I tried it twice - both times were EXACTLY when I first felt that familiar "tingle" on my lip before the cold sore arrives. I followed the directions to the letter and nothing was any different from when I didn't use this product. Let me be perfectly clear - it didn't help at all.

    Not worth the time or letdown when it doesn't work as advertised.

    Believe me, I have had a constant battle with cold sores since I was 13-years old. If this product worked, I would sing it to the high heavens. But it just doesn't.

    If I didn't experience this, I wouldn't of believed it. I have been cursed with cold sores since i was a kid. I have tried every cream, every internet remedy. I came across this thing on you tube. I gave it a shot, figuring this is the only thing i haven't tried. Last tuesday, I woke up in the middle of the night, with a familiar tingling, on the top AND side of my lip. I used this all day, every chance I got, even though the directions say twice a day. It seemed i was approaching the fluid filled stage and was initially disappointed that it wasn't going to work. The next morning, I woke up with a clear lip. I almost cried from happiness!! I still used it for the next two days , just to be sure it wouldn't still come out. I had a very important weekend planned around a lot of people I had to meet for the first time, and was able to attend without fear or embarrassment

    This thing needs to be advertised, people need to know about this option. I know not one thing works for everyone but it has to work for a lot of people!!! TRY IT !!!

    I got this device as part of a consumer testing and didn't have an outbreak until after the study was completed. I am in the middle of the first outbreak and am amazed at how the sore responded. Never got to the breaking blister stage. Responded within a day and on day three there's a small scab and no lump. Seems like black magic. I'm 71 and have used every type of ointment, including those for genital herpes, and not had the response this has given me. Maybe I'm lucky, unlike the gentleman who has had little or no success. The study folks were telling me how to dispose of it and I said I wasn't even thinking about throwing it away.

    I used the Virulite device when I felt a tingly sensation. Usually the tingly sensations will not come out if I use enough chapstick. However, the tingly sensation lasts for a few days. After reading the reviews, I expected the sensation to go away the next day after using Virulite. It did not. In fact, it made the cold sore come out along with two others. This never happens to me. I've only ever gotten one cold sore on my lip at a time. The more I used it, the more cold sores were produced. One even on the inside of my mouth. It does seem to heal slightly quicker but not as quick as the product advertises. Maybe this product only works on some people. Either way, I will be staying away from it. I'll just use my chapstick theory and make sure no cracks are on my lips for the cold sore to come :)

    I purchased this item after a particularly bad outbreak on my lip (once the corner of my mouth cracked it took forever to heal because any time I ate, smiled, laughed or even talked it would split right back open). I read all the reviews (on Amazon and several UK sites) and the majority seemed very positive with some people claiming to be outbreak free for years.

    Well let me just say my experience with this product has been anything but positive! I used it as directed at the first sign of tingling and I still ended up with a huge outbreak that lasted 10 days despite me using this product each day, 2-3 times a day! I've had 5 outbreaks since I purchased the virulite in February and have used this product each time at various stages with absolutely no relief!

    I even upped my usage to 6-10/day in the quest for even the most minor relief and my outbreaks STILL lasted at least 10 days! It also seems that since I started using this product I've had more outbreaks than ever before. I really wanted to believe all the positive reviews but this product is super expensive and just ddidn't work at all for me.

    As a long time sufferer, I am always hunting for products that will help me fight this evil demon. I was skeptical, and with the steep price tag, I was really worried that I might be purchasing some expensive snake oil! I read some positive reviews and tried to research it on the internet. I found enough support that I was willing to take a risk. I have found it to be extremely helpful. I believe that I have been able to stop several outbreaks before they materialized, and I know that I have caught a bunch in their tracks and beat them back into submission. I use this product as part of a multifaceted attack. I use abreva and acyclovir 400 mg pills, and sometimes add that one day treatment that Orajel recently bought out (but so expensive) and or Releeve. For me, it was totally worth it, and I really feel lucky to have it. I have definitely noticed a big difference in my ability to thwart an outbreak that is directly attributed to the Virulite.

    I'd suffered from vitiligo since I'm 15. This lamp will help you to reduce it in most of your body. The treatment depends on the severity and areas involved. Phototherapy are used to stimulate malonocytes to increase melanin production, so it requires a significant time commitment and devolution. It has more than 50% chance of returning color to the face, trunk, supper arms and upper legs. Hand and feet respond poorly. The lamp work as it might be. The clock is really useful.
    Remember to use prescribed frogs (as pro topic) with it. Be calm and good luck.

    The product arrives from China, which is a little unsettling. The instruction manual is written in very badly broken English. The beep for the settings, on/off, and the last 10s of treatment is ear piercing. I'm not totally convinced there's an actual UVB bulb in the machine either - but maybe I'm just unlucky and this type of treatment isn't right for me. The area that can actually be covered by the lamp is also really small - the instructions say to put the light 3-5cm from the area you intend to treat, so you really are limited to treating 9 inches X 2 inches at a time.

    Delivery was very prompt (estimated time was 30 days, came in 7) and it feels sturdy. Also comes with UVB glasses for eye protection.

    I have contended with Psoriasis for over 40 years…Guttate Psoriasis…You name it…I'v tried it…I have a 6 bulb standing Phototherapy machine that cost over $3000.00… that my friends was/is the solution ....unfortunately it is in storage and not available for me to use where I now live…So I tried this small hand held model for $300….works perfectly….very impressed…the almost same type machine is 3x as much on the phototherapy companies site…and if you are thinking of trying phototherapy…I HIGHLY recommend it…

    I've been using this lamp for a little over 2 months and I've been able to get some very serious plaque psoriasis under control. It was really bad on both lower legs was getting worse and spreading all over my body. I'd been using prescriptions and over-the-counter products that were no longer effective after long-term use. The dermatologist said there was no cure but I should keep up the office visits and trying different Rx's. This was just too expensive as I'm unable to get insurance coverage. Instead, I found this lamp online and just ordered it because I was getting desperate. I used the lamp roughly every other day after soaking the areas for 30 minutes in Epsom Salt and I also tried Dead Sea Salt. Most of the areas on the other parts of my body cleared up within the first month and now I've only got a couple stubborn spots on one lower leg that are greatly improved but not yet gone although I'm optimistic that continued treatment will work. I'm not working with the dermatologist on this because I suspect she would not approve. I'm at the point that I can reduce most of the treatment areas to only once a week. The instructions with the lamp are a little vague so, do some online research for extra knowledge. Don't over do it - start with short treatments and increase only to a sensible level.

    I ordered this over a year ago, but they neglected to include the most important item with it...the lamp. I contacted one individual regarding the missing lamp and they pushed me over to the company in China. Basically, I got ignored. So now I got this thing which is useless because they never shipped me the lamp. Worst customer service I've experienced.

    I have contended with Psoriasis for over 40 years…Guttate Psoriasis…You name it…I'v tried it…I have a 6 bulb standing Phototherapy machine that cost over $3000.00… that my friends was/is the solution ....unfortunately it is in storage and not available for me to use where I now live…So I tried this small hand held model for $300….works perfectly….very impressed…the almost same type machine is 3x as much on the phototherapy companies site…and if you are thinking of trying phototherapy…I HIGHLY recommend it…

    Wow wow wow! I should have purchased this light YEARS ago. I live in Seattle which gives me lots of cloudy days and low sunlight. This light gives me such a boost. It's easy to put together and has a few different methods to stand it on a table. I use both methods depending on situation. Using the legs, it fits perfect over my laptop on my desk OR using the built-in leg I use it on a coffee table. This light is awesome. I would recommend this product.

     Hi - I'm a 30-year-old healthy, active male and have always considered myself to be an optimistic, "happy go lucky" type with a zest for life. Over the past decade, however, I have noticed a very gradual (and imperceptible at first) decline in my overall mood.     The light arrived in perfect shape! The assembly took only a few minutes. The light is not blinding and it is pleasant to read/work under. I have used it as directed for 20 -30 minutes each morning and it has changed my life. I am able to jump right out of bed in the morning and all feelings of depression have vanished. I no long have the craving for carbs. I would highly recommend this light to anyone who suffers with SAD symptoms.

    Opened the lamp and removed the rubber pieces in place for shipping per other reviews - have had no issues with chemical odor with the lamp on. I use it 20-30 min in the morning and after about 5 days I became a whole new person. So happy I took my doc's suggestion to purchase. Only issue I have is the legs aren't very sturdy. I have to lay the lamp on its side when not in use because I'm afraid the cat will knock it over & break it.

    I just purchased this, so it's far too early for me to say if it'll help with the insomnia or not, however, even if it doesn't, I'm happy I bought it.

    It's simply the best task light I've ever found. Amazingly bright, with no glare whatsoever.

    Contrary to other reviewers, I had no problem with set up whatsoever. I did remove the rubber bands from over the bulbs. Said rubber bands were so weak and flimsy I do think a 3 year old could have removed them. And I did remove the rubber from under the base of the bulbs. You do not have to take out the bulbs to do this as other reviewers have said, a pair of tweezers does the trick trauma free without taking out the bulbs.

    After a half hour of treatment, I switch it to task light mode and have had it on all day w/out any noticeable odor. And while the bulbs are florescent, the covering over them makes them feel otherwise, IMO. The light you see doesn't look like it comes from a florescent bulb, it does a wonderful job of approximating the tone of sunlight.

    It is freakin' huge, lol, that's for sure. And heavy. But the quality of the light it throws is just perfect for craftwork (I do beadwork), and reading, I'd recommend it for those sort of situations if nothing else.

    What an incredible light! I got it because I noticed that every Winter my mood dropped because of the decreased sunlight.
    A friend suggested I get a therapeutic sun lamp. I read that it was important for the light to come from above, which this light does.
    Many of the lights I found looked too medical to me. While this one isn't what I'd call gorgeous, it certainly is one of the better looking ones. I keep it on the kitchen table and turn it on while I eat breakfast.
    My cats love it, too, and run over as soon as I turn it on!

    This light is very good. It is like real medical equipment. I highly recommend. Other lights have incorrect kelvin temperature and could be dangerous. I don't like the arm being made out of plastic.

    You need to be consistent with exposure time, intensity and distance to face. I have the lamp on my work desk above my monitors about 35 inches from my face and I do three 20 minute sessions per day at 5,000 lux (half power). I have noticed a dramatic reduction in my SAD - almost complete remission. I am extraordinary satisfied with this product.

    My advice, don't keep it too close and put it higher up so you don't look directly into it. I was getting headaches in the beginning cause it was too direct.

    I was surprised I felt better as quickly as I did. I noticed a difference in a week and then it continued to improve. It was much easier to put together than I expected. The most difficult was getting the elastics off the 2 bulbs. That was a real struggle and I was very concerned I would break the bulbs. That was the only problem putting it together. I gave it a four only because I felt the quality wasn't as good as I expected. With that said Its done the trick and I would definitely suggest a lamp for anyone dealing with SAD.

    I have gotten down in the dumps around November every year. This year it got bad enough that I finally decided to buy a light box. What can I say, it works! I use it in the morning for 30 minutes while I check emails. If I have time I use it in the evening when I get home from work for another 30 minutes. The only cons I can think of is that the ionizer thing smells bad. Sort of a strong plastic smell. I have been using the light box for around a month. I feel very good. I am not down in the dumps at all. I highly recommend this if you have seasonal effective disorder like I do. I would have bought this years ago had I known it would actually work.

    I looked at a few different sun lamps on Amazon and ended up with this one because the price was discounted. The company's website did not have as many detailed specs as I wanted to see before buying the product, so I called customer service. To receive 10,000 lux, you have to sit at least as close as 15 inches. The manual says with the ionizer on, you can sit as far as 20 inches (I'm not sure I believe that - I think it's just recommended for a "treatment session", not for the 10,000 lux). Also, the lights should be good for about 3 years (there are 4 in the lamp), and it's currently $60 to replace all 4.

    As for the ionizer, I wasn't looking for anything like this feature, and I was skeptical about it at first. However, I have since learned that it is a great plus to the light itself; it's like having fresh air blowing at you. With the ionizer and the lamp on, I almost feel like I'm sitting outside on a sunny day.

    Shipping was prompt, customer service was OK (they did take a day to call me back even during business hours- but they were nice and answered all my questions), and I'm very happy about the lamp. I'm not a morning person, but I find myself actually looking forward to going to work in the morning just so I can sit next to the lamp. I wasn't convinced when I bought the lamp that light therapy would actually counter my winter depression, but I'm a believer now. This lamp has certainly worked well for me.

    Tested for Safety
    Sun Touch Plus with Sky Effect Technology has been submitted for safety testing to the Age-related Macular Degeneration Center at the University of Texas' Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences.     I have gotten down in the dumps around November every year. This year it got bad enough that I finally decided to buy a light box. What can I say, it works! I use it in the morning for 30 minutes while I check emails. If I have time I use it in the evening when I get home from work for another 30 minutes. The only cons I can think of is that the ionizer thing smells bad. Sort of a strong plastic smell. I have been using the light box for around a month. I feel very good. I am not down in the dumps at all. I highly recommend this if you have seasonal effective disorder like I do. I would have bought this years ago had I known it would actually work.

    I looked at a few different sun lamps on Amazon and ended up with this one because the price was discounted. The company's website did not have as many detailed specs as I wanted to see before buying the product, so I called customer service. To receive 10,000 lux, you have to sit at least as close as 15 inches. The manual says with the ionizer on, you can sit as far as 20 inches (I'm not sure I believe that - I think it's just recommended for a "treatment session", not for the 10,000 lux). Also, the lights should be good for about 3 years (there are 4 in the lamp), and it's currently $60 to replace all 4.

    As for the ionizer, I wasn't looking for anything like this feature, and I was skeptical about it at first. However, I have since learned that it is a great plus to the light itself; it's like having fresh air blowing at you. With the ionizer and the lamp on, I almost feel like I'm sitting outside on a sunny day.

    Shipping was prompt, customer service was OK (they did take a day to call me back even during business hours- but they were nice and answered all my questions), and I'm very happy about the lamp. I'm not a morning person, but I find myself actually looking forward to going to work in the morning just so I can sit next to the lamp.
